Westco Automated Chemistry Analyser
The Westco Automated Chemistry Analyser technology has truly replaced Flow Injection Analysis (FIA) techniques. Scientific Solutions is capable of providing both sorts of technology, but it is apparent that the second generation of Discrete Analysers has left FIA behind. Be it in terms of speed, reagent usage, flexibility or ease of use, the Westco Discrete Chemistry Analyser has no match. Sample speed can be up to 200 per hour (sample dependent of course) and reagent usage is in the area of microlitres, so they are very economic to run. It is a true discrete analyser system, as each reaction is fully completed in a discrete cell, so there is no flow cell, therefore, no flow problems!
Segmented Flow Analysis
Skalar have been providing Segmented Flow Analysis systems for more than 40 years for people who want an Auto Analyser for automated chemistry applications. Mostly using Segmented Flow Analysis techniques, Skalar are able to measure the concentration of some analytes down to less than 1 ppb concentration, much lower than the practical limit for Flow Injection Analysis (FIA) techniques. The systems are capable of measuring samples without pre-filtering and have unique automation capabilities for unattended operation.
Bomb Calorimeters
CAL2k Bomb Calorimeters are without any doubt the most versatile and cost effective systems available for measuring the calorific value of Coal, Fossil Fuels, Pharmaceutials, Animal Feeds, Explosives and Scientific Research. There are two models available based on throughput. The CAL2kECO system can manage 8 sample per day, but has the advantage that it does not require water cooling. For larger throughputs, the full CAL2k calorimeter is recommended. Both systems have "smart" vessels with multiple sensors and an embedded processor for accurate determination of temperature change, fast!
