The Lipofast system from AVESTIN is a manual device for the preparation of liposomes, specifically achieved by passing the sample through a fine pore filter, from a delivery to product syringe. The process of passing the material creates a product with a narrow size distribution. A pneumatic actuator is available to automate the process.

High Pressure Homogenisers in volumes from 5 to 160 litres per hour are available off the shelf. Custom systems to any larger size can be made to specification.
Avestin produce systems which are completely metal to metal seals, so no rubber seals are included which make CIP processes difficult. Autoclaving wetted parts of laboratory systems poses no problems, as there are no elastomer seals.
