Autosorb iQ Surface Area and Pore Size Distribution Analyser from QUANTACHROME |
The Autosorb iQ range of Surface Area and Pore Size Distribution Analysers represents the unquestioned State-of-the-Art for Researchers. It is available with a choice of; single or multiple sample ports, Mesopore or Micropore capability, Integrated or separate degassing systems, Multiple Gas inlet manifold, 2 inbuilt PC Controlled degassing stations capable of multistep programming and 90 Hour dewar. It also builds on the solid foundation of the older Autosorb series, retaining its incredble sensitivity through the proven dewar lift to retain a small cold zone, and sample cell transducers. Optional Mass Spectrometer (choice of 2, internal or external), vapour, calorimetry and Thermal Conductivity detectors ensure the maximum use of the Chemisorption capable option included in the Autosorb iQ - MP-C system. The Autosorb iQ series of instruments truely rely on solid hardware solutions for all measurement functionality, though there are still Quantachromes standard software options for void space analysis should the user wish to use these features. One of the best features of the Autosorb iQ is the extensive range of NIST pproved DFT kernels, the largest range available in any nstrument of its type. For thos requiring high sensitivity and accuracy in Micropore analysis, this featutre alone is absolutley invaluable.

QuandrasorbSI Surface Area and Pore Size Distribution Analysers from QUANTACHROME |
The Quadrasorb Surface Area and Pore Size Distribution Analyser fits between the Autosorb iQ and NOVA series instruments. It is capable of high level research in Pore Size Distribution with the Turbo-molecular Pump powerd system in the QuadrasorbSI MP version, but also has the capability of high throughput by the inclusion of four independent and concurrent sample ports. All Ports are fitted with dewar lift technology for maximum sensitivity achieved through the small cold zone the dewar lift achieves. The instrument is capable of operation in both the full Volumetric mode using Helium Void space Analysis, or in the NOVA mode, for accelerated Helium free measurements. There is no internal degasser capability in thr Quadrasorb, but there are a range of many extenal degassers available, both standard and turbo-pump capable units, depending on how agressive degassing needs to be for the nature of the samples.

NOVA Surface Area and Pore Size Distribution Analysers from QUANTACHROME |
Surface Area of solid or powdered substances can be measured using the NOVA range of gas adsorption instruments. The NOVA instruments can be configured with one to four sample ports, and are available in "Nitrogen Only" or "Anygas" forms. All NOVA instruments can use the patented No Void Analysis technique, which does not require Helium to make measurements fast, while avoidng the need for balance tubes or non-traditional methodologies. The NOVA can also be operated from its own interface, or form a NOVAWin program on a traditional PC. NOVA instruments are fitted with the proven dewar lift to ensure maximum sensitivity and they halso have two inbuilt degassing ports to avoid the need for a separate degassr and vacuum pump. |

PoreMaster Mercury Porosimeters from QUANTACHROME |
Pore Size Distributons and Total Pore Size determinations in the range of <3.5nm to >900microns can be measured using Quantachrome's proven Poremaster range of Mercury Porosimeters. Using pressures up to 60,000psi, the instruments can determine full Pore Sizer Distributions rapidly. Three versions of the instruments are available, 1,500, 33,000 and 60,000 psi respectively, having progressively smaller pore size range as the pressure increases. Both 33,000 and 60,000 psi systems have two further choices. Both have two, built-in low pressure analysis ports for pore sizes above 4 µm. The high pressure cavity, for pore sizes smaller than 4 µm, accommodates one sample cell in the standard unit, and two cells in the GT model for greater throughput. PoreMasters can also be used to determine the crush strength of hollow glass microspheres and for water intrusion studies on hydrophobic materials. Quantachrome Porosimeters have a wide range of sample penetrometers, from small volume powder systems which are excellent at retaining fne powders, through to larger volume penetrometers for bulk monolithic samples, like core samples. Quantachrome can also provide a Mercury Contact Anglometer, essential for ensuring accurate results when making Mercury Porosimetry measurements.

Aquadyne DVS Vapour Sorption Aalyser from QUANTACHROME |
Quantachrome have released the Aquadyne DVS, a fully automated, gravimetric, dual sample water vapor sorption analyzer. It measures adsorption and desorption isotherms of water vapor both accurately and sensitively, including sorption kinetics, with minimal operator involvement. It features a 5 gram sample size, so has good representative sampling credentials, and has two sample positions. The weight(s) of one or two sample(s) is/are constantly monitored and recorded as the relative humidity is automatically varied by the blending of dry carrier gas with a saturated gas stream. The dual balance design allows increased analysis throughput, side-by-side comparison with known or reference materials, or an extended mass range for a single sample. The independently temperature-controlled balance head environment ensures long term stability. The small sample chamber ensures rapid changes in sample atmosphere conditions when the relative humidity is altered during an analysis. Samples can be pre-dried in situ at up to 80degC in a flow of dry gas. The software supports multiple users with password-controlled access.

ZetaReader Zeta Potential Analyser from QUANTACHROME |
The ZetaReader® is a compact and easy-to-use, rapid zeta potential (ZP) analyzer that uses a sophisticated electrophoresis cell and high-resolution digital camera for real-time measurements. Unlike most other ZP analyzers, the ZetaReader can make the measurement on a remarkably wide range of particle sizes, from 20nm to over 500microns. It is also available with a one- or three-channel titrator for studying changes in ZP as a function of pH or salt concentration for example. Samples are introduced directly from sample jars and bottles without the need for manual filling of cuvettes. The direct imaging technique used allows zeta potentials of both individual particles and flocs to be measured in the same suspension, plus optional image analysis. The measurements are effected without beam splitters, light intensity attenuators or compensation optics.

True Density (Specific Gravity) instruments from QUANTACHROME |
Quantachrome produces a range of Helium Pycnometers for measuring Specific Gravity, or True Density of materials. There are both manual and automatic models available, depending on the precision and throughput required. There are also MIcro pycnometers for use where the available sample volume is very small. AQuantachrome also developed the very first low pressure Pycnometer for measuring compressible Foams, and they retain the leading edge in the technology through the use of specialised pressure tranducers designed to operate at very low pressures above atmospheric. Temperature control and multi-cell capabilities are available on some models.

Rifflers from QUANTACHROME |
Quantachrome produces a Sieving Riffler and a Rotary Micro Riffler. Very often, representative Samplng limits the precision and accuracy of anlaytical measurements. Rotary Riffling is known to be the very best method of reducng the errors assocuiated with sub-sampling from a larger sample volume. One problam has been to get a small enough sample size delivered for a lot of analytical techniques, like Particle Size Analysis. The Rotary Micro Riffler solves this problem. The second major difficulty is that many techniques require Sieving as well, as analytical techniques which require digestion or sample disc preparartion, like XRF, also require a small Particle Size for optimum final sample morphology. The Sieving Riffler solves this problem. |
